Tiverton Teenager, 18, Killed In Weekend Crash
John Barretto died after losing control of his vehicle on Brayton Road and hitting a tree.

TIVERTON, RI — A Tiverton teenager died in a crash on Brayton Road over the long weekend, according to police. John Barretto was 18 years old.
The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Barretto was driving south when he lost control of his car, a 2002 Saturn sedan, and hit a tree at the side of the road.
The Tiverton Fire Department worked to free Barretto, who was trapped inside the vehicle. He was then rushed to Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
