Twin River Winnings Lead To Assault & Robbery: RI State Police

A 61-year-old woman who cashed out at Twin River was assaulted and robbed by a West Warwick man who targeted her, state police allege.

LINCOLN, RI— State police have handed a West Warwick man over to Massachusetts authorities. Ty Shon Forbes, 21, allegedly stalked, assaulted and robbed a 61-year-old Quincy, Mass., woman whom he targeted at the Twin River Casino. He was being held at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston on a charge he violated bail after he allegedly violated a no contact order. After Quincy, Mass., police obtained an arrest warrant, he waived extradition to Massachusetts and was released to the Quincy police.

According to state police, on Nov. 10, he allegedly followed the victim from the casino to her home. There, he assaulted her, broke several of her bones, and took her purse, police allege. He allegedly targeted her after seeing her collect money from the casino cashier, police also allege.

The Quincy police are charging him with Unarmed robbery and Assault and Battery on a Person Over Age 60.
