Winter Storms Are Melting Snow Removal Budgets
How much has the town spent on snow removal to date? Find out here.

The winter of 2013-14 is quickly melting away the snow removal budgets for many Rhode Island communities, including Tiverton.
As of Thursday (prior to Friday morning's snowstorm), the town of Tiverton has spent the following on snow removal:
- $7,600 for DPW personnel overtime (plowing and sanding);
- $22,000 for hired plows (called in to help with town drivers);
- $13,490 on road salt;
- And, $3,000 on sand.
