Wonderful Pistachos Recalled over Salmonella Concern

The pistachios may be connected to an outbreak of Salmonellosis, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

RHODE ISLAND—Certain batches of "Wonderful Pistachios" may contain salmonella, according to the state Department of Health, and customers are being advised of a voluntary recall.

The Centers for Disease Control reports that an outbreak of salmonellosis might be linked to the pistachios, which were distributed through several national retailers.

Affected products can be identified by the 13-digit lot code number on the bottom of the package.

If you own these pistachios, don't eat them. They can be returned to Wonderful Pistachios for a refund. Send the product or bottom portion of the package to Wonderful Pistachios, 13646 Hwy 33, Lost Hillls, CA 93249.

You can also return the product to the store for a refund. Dump the nuts before bringing the package (compost them, preferably).
