Update: Motorcycle Rider Killed In Warwick Crash: Cops

WARWICK, RI — A motorcycle rider was killed in a Saturday morning crash in Warwick, police said.

The motorcycle was heading west on Toll Gate Road between Craig and Leon E. Whipple roads shortly before 9:30 a.m. when it hit the back of a westbound car attempting to turn left into a parking lot, the Warwick Police Department said in a media release.

The 29-year-old motorcycle operator was transported to the Trauma Center at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence with life-threatening injuries and later died, the release said.

The investigation remains active, according to police, who asked witnesses or anyone with information to call the department's traffic unit at 401-468-4200.
