Warwick Man Eludes Law Enforcement, Then Surrenders: Cops
The Warwick man also drove recklessly, police said.
WARWICK, RI — A Warwick man eluded the law but then surrendered to Rhode Island State Police troopers, police said.
Shakil Velazquez, 23, was arrested shortly after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and charged with eluding law enforcement in a high-speed pursuit, reckless driving and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
"This arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and Velazquez turning himself in to the Lincoln Woods Barracks," the release said.

"Velazquez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court," according to the release.
