• Check your tickets: $50,000 Powerball prize still unclaimed (wpri.com) — A recent $40,000 lottery win is tied directly to Warwick, where a Cranston man bought his lucky ticket at the Shaw’s on Warwick Avenue. Another $50,000 Powerball prize sold in Middletown remains unclaimed, and a Middletown resident also snagged Rhode Island’s first eInstant “Mega” jackpot, highlighting a streak of notable lottery luck around the state.
   

• Former police officer changes plea in Coventry DUI case (wpri.com) — A DUI case involving a former Pawtucket police officer was resolved in Warwick, where he pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges and received suspended sentences, probation, and a short license suspension. The incident stemmed from a 2023 Coventry traffic stop, and all court-ordered conditions have already been met. He still faces a separate multimillion-dollar civil lawsuit over an earlier West Greenwich shooting.
   

• Warren rejects proposal to install ‘Flock' camera (wpri.com) — Warwick is among several Rhode Island communities already using Flock license-plate cameras, even as Warren’s town council just rejected installing one over privacy concerns. State police say the cameras help solve crimes, while Warren residents worried about surveillance and data collection.
