Warwick Man Accused Of Robbing Santander Bank

Police say Oliver Courtney, 28, of Warwick gestured as though he had a weapon when he robbed the Santander Bank on Post Road.

WARWICK, RI — A Warwick man was arrested after police said he robbed a bank on Monday morning.

Oliver Courtney, 28, was charged with second-degree robbery.

Warwick police said the robbery happened just before 9 a.m. at the Santander Bank on Post Road. Police said Courtney made a gesture that he had a weapon when he demanded cash.

Police said they quickly identified Courtney as a suspect and brought him into custody. He was ordered held without bail until his next court date on Monday.
