Warwick Man Arrested On Gun And Drug Charges After Home Searched: Cops
The Warwick Police Special Operations Group and Providence Police Organized Crime & Intelligence Bureau searched the home, police said.
WARWICK, RI — A Warwick man was arrested on gun and drug charges after a search warrant was executed at his home, police said.
The Warwick Police Special Operations Group, working in partnership with the Providence Police Organized Crime & Intelligence Bureau, executed the search warrant in Warwick on Monday morning, according to a post on the Warwick Police Department Facebook page.

"The operation resulted in the seizure of more than six kilograms of narcotics — including cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl — along with a 9 mm handgun and ammunition," the post said.

It also resulted in the arrest of 31-year-old Jason Kahian, according to the post.

Kahian was charged with manufacturing, delivery or possession with intent, distribution or manufacturing in or near a school, carrying a pistol without a license or permit, possessing a firearm while delivering or manufacturing a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm after being convicted of a crime of violence or as a fugitive," according to the post.

"This joint effort highlights the ongoing commitment of both agencies to effective intelligence sharing and interagency cooperation, which continue to play a critical role in modern law enforcement," the post said.
