Man Facing Sexual Activity Involving Animals Charges Allowed To Get His 2 Cats Back
After his arrest, he was initially forbidden to "possess live animals" as a condition of his bond.

WARWICK, RI — A Warwick native facing charges of engaging in sexual activity with animals and possessing child pornography in Florida was granted permission to regain custody of his two pet cats, according to court filings.
Following his June 20 arrest by the Coconut Creek, Florida, Police Department, Christopher Andrew Jackman, 32, was ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18, not to possess or use any devices with internet access, not to possess any live animals, and to relinquish custody of any animals to the proper authorities in the event he bailed out of jail.
Jackman, who was born in Warwick, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office, was charged with 10 counts of possessing child pornography, two counts of sexual activity involving animals and one count of computer pornography. His bond was set at $130,000 — $10,000 for each of the 13 counts.

Jackman, with the services of a bondsman, posted bail the day after his arrest, court records show. Nine days later, prosecutors agreed to let him "resume custody and care of his two cats" but continue having no contact with any other animals.
Jackman, a "self-employed chef" and resident of Coconut Creek, according to police, drew the attention of the law in June 2024 when the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children came forward with a tip about a child pornography case.

The Coconut Creek police said they linked two child pornography videos to Jackman's IP address and Skype account.
Nearly a year later, on June 4, police obtained a warrant and searched Jackman's home, according to an affidavit, after which he agreed to speak with officers.
Jackman denied "seeing sending or receiving any underage videos," police said, but later "admitted to possibly receiving child pornography from another user," although he claimed he did not watch the videos.
"He later admitted that he may have a few videos of child pornography in his devices," police said.
A forensic examination of his devices turned up 200 child pornography images, according to police.
The 12 files that led to the charges against Jackman include 10 child pornography videos and two images of bestiality, police said.
The examination of Jackman's iPad located chats between Jackman and others "talking about what they want to do to underage children," according to police.
