Warwick Teen Banned From Graduating With Toddler Son In Arms: Report
Though the superintendent said that "only students are allowed to participate," the girl still plans to walk with her son, a report says.
WARWICK, RI — A Pilgrim High School senior, varsity athlete, high honors student, and mother to a toddler boy has been forbidden from walking the graduation stage Wednesday with her son in her arms, according to an ABC6 report.
Though the school's superintendent said that "only students are allowed to participate in commencement ceremonoies," Valerie Landry still plans to walk with her son, the outlet reported.
"He's one of my biggest achievements in high school. It took a lot, and I'm very proud of him," Landry told ABC6. "It's one of my biggest things, and I'd be honored to have him up on stage with me just to show everybody that you can push through anything."
