Warwick Water Dept. To Begin Annual Hydrant Flushing Next Week

Flushing will take place between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday and help maintain a cleaner water distribution system.

WARWICK, RI —The Warwick Water Department announced Wednesday that it will be conducting its annual hydrant flushing program beginning next week.

Flushing will take place between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. every Tuesday and Wednesday. The program, the water department said, helps maintain a cleaner water distribution system.

According to the water department, anyone experiencing dirty water conditions is asked to run cold water into the bathtub in order to clear the water line.

If the dirty water continues, residents should call the Warwick Water Department at 401-921-9738 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. After hours, calls should be made to the Warwick Police Department's non-emergency number: 401-468-4200.
