Body Of Man, 40, Pulled From Pawcatuck River​ In Westerly

The man, identified as Matthew Brouillette, was found dead around 20 feet from the Westerly side of the Pawcatuck River.

WESTERLY, RI — A 40-year-old Westerly man has been identified after his body was recovered from the Pawcatuck River Monday morning.

Matthew Brouillette was found dead around 20 feet from the Westerly side of the river near the 100 block of Main Street, where he had fallen in, according to police.

Police were first alerted to trouble around 7:10 p.m. Sunday, when they received a report of a man stumbling before falling into the river, police said.
