Rock the Supernatural - Paranormal Rockstar, Dustin Pari, will be appearing at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library tonight at 7 p.m. The former member of Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International will be doing a full audio and visual presentation complete with a classification of different types of hauntings, which types of equipment are best utilized in the field, plus visual and audio evidence of the paranormal taken from around the world.
Mayoral Debate Friday - On Oct. 4, 7 p.m., the Woonsocket Call issponsoring a Mayoral Debate with the four Mayoral candidates: Incumbent Mayor Leo Fontaine, current state Rep. Lisa Baldelli Hunt (D-Dist. 49, Woonsocket), David Fisher, and Michael Moniz. The debate is open to the public, and will be videotaped and rebroadcast on cable access TV.
Comment on Landmark - The informational meeting about Prime Healthcare's bid to buy Landmark Medical Center is over, but if you weren't able to put in your two cents Monday at the High School, there's still time to make yourself heard.

Fire victims fundraiser tomorrow - On Thursday Oct. 3, an All-You-Can-Eat Clam Cakes and Chowder Dinner will be held at WMS-Hamlet Building from 4 - 8 p.m. to benefit the families of the recent house fire on South Main Street. Tickets are $10 and are available at Woonsocket Middle School @ Hamlet from Trish L'Esperance or at the Woonsocket High School from Jennifer Pacelli. Entertainment will be provided by John Levreault of Select Sound DJ Services.

Yard waste pickup - Yard waste (grass clippings, small branches, weeds, etc.) for 1-3 unit properties resumes this week, continuing through Friday Dec. 6. Place yard waste in compost bags or barrels (with lids) clearly marked “yard waste” and leave them curbside on your collection day by 7 am. (Plastic bags containing yard waste will not be collected). Yard waste cannot and must not contain any trash.
Small branches must be cut into lengths not longer than 4’ and tied into bundles using a natural fiber rope/twine. Any bag or barrel or bundle cannot weigh more than 50 pounds.
