Cianci (rinewstoday.com) — Veterans and families in Woonsocket should know about the monthly “Leave No Veteran Alone” visits at Friendly Home on Rhodes Avenue, where volunteers bring refreshments and company to resident vets. This wide-ranging roundup also highlights Providence VA hiring events, new VA health care changes, Rhode Island burial and recreation benefits, and year-round support groups and discounts available across the state. 
• Solar Program Designed to Help Low-Income and Environmental Justice Zone Residents Instead Leaves them Stranded (ecori.org) — Low-income homeowners in parts of Woonsocket were eligible for a state-backed solar program that promised lower electric bills but is now in limbo after vendor PosiGen filed for bankruptcy. The initiative, aimed at environmental justice neighborhoods statewide, has been paused while officials decide how to protect enrolled residents and what to do with remaining funds.
