1. A man in his 70s was killed Monday in a crash on Mendon Road in Cumberland. Police said the man, heading north in a VW at around 1 p.m., crossed into the oncoming lane and hit a BMW head-on. The other driver was hospitalized. The Providence Journal (subscription) tracked down the details.
2. Governor Dan McKee has ordered all health care workers in state-licensed facilities to get vaccinated by October 1. (WJAR)
3. Meanwhile, McKee said he's not about to issue a statewide mask mandate. He once again pushed vaccines, and asked people to carry a mask with them "to accommodate those who feel it is necessary" in certain businesses or areas. (Patch)
4. The Rhode Island International Film Festival is in full swing, and Thursday marks 2021 Local Filmmaker Night at the Rustic Drive-In in North Smithfield.
