Johnny Sak Indicted for Crash that Killed Woonsocket Mom
Alexandra Patten Parenteau, 22, died last December after Sak crashed into a Mendon Road utility pole, according to the attorney general.

WOONSOCKET, RI—A 24-year-old Providence man who allegedly took the life of the mother of his child in a fatal car accident last December has been indicted on multiple charges by the Providence County Grand Jury.
Johnny Sak was arrested by Woonsocket police after the Mendon Road crash that killed Alexandra Patten Parenteau and hurt three other people on Dec. 8.
The Rhode Island Attorney General's Office said Monday that Sak was indicted on a count of driving under the influence death resulting, one count of driving to endanger death resulting, two counts of driving under the influence resulting in serious bodily injury, two counts of driving to endanger resulting in serious bodily injury, one count of driving to endanger resulting bodily injury, one count of possession of cocaine, and one count of operating a motorized vehicle without a license.

Sak will be arraigned on July 11.
Sak was also wanted by Woonsocket police for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, eluding a police officer and driving without a license at the time of the crash.

Sak allegedly was behind the wheel of a four-door Saturn when he crashed into a utility pole. Parenteau, 22, of Woonsocket, died at Landmark Medical Center. The other passengers were treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Sak grew up in Woonsocket and attended Woonsocket High School.
Patten is remembered as a kind, loving and caring person who was a great mom to her then-four-month-old daughter Azariah.
She was a graduate of Woonsocket High School in 2012 and worked as a manager at Del's Lemonade.
