Monday Essentials: A Peek Ahead at Woonsocket Events
Kick off your week properly with this look at what's happening in and around Woonsocket.

Meet Your Congressman: U.S. Rep. David Cicilline is scheduled to be in Woonsocket on Monday starting at 5:30 p.m. at Harris Public Library. Billed as a "Neighborhood Conversation," the session is a chance for folks to ask questions and get answers from the Congressman.
Council Meets: Also Monday night, the Woonsocket City Council is scheduled to hold a work session at 6:30 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at 7 at Woonsocket City Hall. The work session agenda notes that the topic will be secondhand dealer licenses. The meeting agenda includes a list of license approvals and the quarterly animal control report, among other items.
Get Together: River Island Park is the site for this year's National Night Out event, scheduled for Aug. 6 from 4 to 8 p.m.
In Case You Missed It: The start of school is only weeks away in Woonsocket — so you might need the 2013-14 calendar for the Woonsocket School District.
