Photo Gallery Opening In Woonsocket
Works by Rhode Island photographer Thomas Walsh will be featured in a new photo gallery opening in Woonsocket this week.

WOONSOCKET, RI — A new photo gallery is about to open in Woonsocket. NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley will host an opening for its new photo gallery from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, at 40 South Main St.
The gallery will feature work by Rhode Island photographer Thomas Walsh III, with images he has taken during 2019 Levitt AMP Woonsocket Music Series. The images will be on display at the Millrace Lobby Gallery and available for purchase.
Walsh, who specializes in event photography, has a keen eye for capturing real emotional reactions that highlight memorable moments in time. He became interested in photography's authenticity at a young age and began experimenting using friends and family as subjects. His standoff photojournalism approach and easygoing personality elicit relaxed and natural expressions, so the images can truly mirror the subject's true self, according to NeighborWorks Blackstone River Valley.
