  1. Charges have been filed in connection with the death of a Woonsocket motorcyclist.
    Rudy Maldonado, 31, was killed Wednesday evening while riding his motorcycle on Rt. 146 in Providence. Now a Providence woman has been charged with DUI and driving to endanger resulting in death. (WPRI.com)
  2. Is Lincoln's political sign ordinance unconstitutional?
    Signs are popping up in Lincoln ahead of a September special election. But under the current ordinance, signs aren't supposed to go up so soon. Looks like parts of Lincoln's sign ordinance won't be enforced. (The Valley Breeze)
  3. The 43rd Autumnfest is back this year.

  4. A nonprofit plans to sue the RISPCA, claiming the shelter unethically euthanized a dog.
    An organization that gives K9 officers a second chance plans to sue the Rhode Island Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Jim Lamonte, owner of the Seekonk-based K9 PTSD Center, accuses the RISPCA of putting the dog down even though the organization offered to take him in. (WPRI.com)
  5. The Castle Luncheonette has been sold to a new owner.
    Jin Xiang Lin, the owner of Pacific Asian Cuisine, is purchasing the Woonsocket restaurant from Diane Frenette. Frenette ran the business for many years after buying it in the 1980s. Lin said she plans to keep the existing menu. (The Valley Breeze)
