Peanut-a-bout traffic pattern now open in Anderson park (wspa.com) — Drivers in Anderson now have a new peanut-shaped roundabout open at Linley Park, designed to keep traffic moving while improving pedestrian safety at both ends. City officials urge motorists to yield at the marked crosswalks, and the state plans to repave the surrounding area in 2026 for an even smoother ride.

Bomb squad investigates suspicious item at Upstate department store, deputies say (foxcarolina.com) — A bomb squad was called to the Ross Dress for Less on Station Drive in Anderson County after a suspicious package was left on a rack Christmas Eve, but it turned out to be a removed anti-theft device. Deputies are still trying to identify the man who brought it in and believe it may have been tied to a shoplifting attempt.
