• Upstate ministry gives away hundred of toys ahead of Christmas (wyff4.com) — Families in Anderson gathered at Labor of the Field Church on Sunday as the ministry gave away hundreds of toys and 29 bikes to about 80 local children. Supported by donors like Roses of Anderson and Anderson University, the church also highlighted its addiction rehabilitation program and invited anyone in the community who is struggling to reach out for help.
   

• Raymond Arledge McLees, III - The Tryon Daily Bulletin (tryondailybulletin.com) — An 83-year-old Anderson native, Raymond Arledge McLees III, will be laid to rest in Old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, with a future funeral service planned in Spartanburg. McLees built a career in textiles and investment advising, and was deeply involved in civic, musical, and conservation groups in Tryon and Spartanburg. His family invites friends to share memories online and give to a favorite charity.
   

• S.C. Attorney General's Office Losing Decorated Prosecutor (fitsnews.com) — A key state prosecutor is leaving the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office just as she was working on a high-profile case expected to unfold in Anderson County. Assistant deputy attorney general Kinli Abee will depart December 31 for the Children’s Law Center at USC. FITSNews says it plans extensive coverage of the Anderson County case she and a colleague had been handling.
