Bomb Threat Causes Evacuation of Greenberg Building

Teams are searching the building now for possible explosives

UPDATE: Police allowed people to return to the Reuben M. Greenberg Building around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday after failing to find any explosives, according to a Charelston Police Department statement.

The Reuben M. Greenberg building on Lockwood Boulevard downtown has been evacuated following a bomb threat.

The threat came in a phone call to the Traffic and Transportation Department in the Greenberg Building around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The building has been evacuated and police are searching it now for signs of explosives, according to a statement from Charleston Police Department Public Information Officer Charles Francis.
