Two teens, ages 16 and 17, now face murder, armed robbery, and firearm charges, and investigators are still asking anyone with information to contact detectives or submit an anonymous tip.

North Charleston mistaken identity slaying ends in prison time (postandcourier.com) — A Charleston County jury has convicted Antonio Bernard Grant of murder and a weapons charge in the 2021 mistaken-identity shooting of 21-year-old Markell Maxwell on Parana Street in North Charleston. Grant received a 55-year prison sentence after surveillance video, texts to a spiritual advisor, and testimony about his attempts to hide from police helped secure the verdict.

Barry Manilow's January Charleston show rescheduled due to lung cancer diagnosis (postandcourier.com) — Barry Manilow’s farewell tour stop at North Charleston Coliseum, originally set for Jan. 14, has been postponed to March 11 after he was diagnosed with Stage 1 lung cancer and scheduled for surgery.
