Face masks are required for all members of the campus community, regardless of vaccination status, while around others indoors in all campus facilities, including classrooms and labs. For additional guidance regarding face masks and limited exceptions to the campus mask mandate, please review the campus announcement from Jan. 13, 2022.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, well-fitting, federally approved respirators, such as N95 masks, offer the highest level of protection.

Face masks should fit snugly against the face with a nose wire to prevent leaking from the top. Mesh masks, neck gaiters or masks that allow light to come through are not adequate. Sincerely, CofC COVID-19 Leadership Team
