Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:

  1. The North Charleston Police Department reports seizing almost four dozen illegally carried guns last month. The seizures resulted in the arrests of 42 individuals. The department has removed 362 firearms from North Charleston streets this year. (WCBD News 2)
  2. A North Charleston man has been arrested after being found in the possession of a stolen rescue SUV in North Carolina. Ricky Norris, 41, has been charged with possessing a stolen vehicle and will be extradited to South Carolina. He is being held in the Nash County Detention Center awaiting extradition. (Live 5 News WCSC)
  3. Metal Trades, Inc is expanding its operations in Charleston County. The family-owned steel and metal manufacturer will be constructing a new facility on its campus in Megget on Highway 165. The expansion will have a significant impact on the county's rural areas. The expansion will cost $14.4 million and is set to create 64 new jobs. (Count On 2)
