Liberty Games Pit Senior Against Senior In Competitive Events

What: Liberty Senior Living sponsors an annual competition of sporting and cognitive events for residents from ten of its senior living communities

Approximately 100 participants ages 65-90+ will compete in more than 15 events, including bocce ball, a water balloon toss, a water balloon drop, a mile walk race, a water walk race, brain games and more in the Liberty Games. The annual event, which will be held on March 18-20, features friendly competition while encouraging exercise of the body and the brain.

The Liberty Games will be hosted this year by South Bay at Mount Pleasant. The event will draw representatives from South Bay and nine additional Liberty Senior Living communities including Hayes Barton Place, Brightmore of Wilmington, Brightmore of South Charlotte, Carolina at Autumn Hall, The Barclay at SouthPark, Wellington Bay, The Templeton of Cary, Pisgah Valley and Quail Haven Village.

Each year the participants look forward to the opportunity to let their competitive drive kick into gear while promoting laughter, friendship, camaraderie, and fun.

Liberty Games will begin with an opening ceremony, cheerleading squads, and a performance of the National Anthem. Ribbons and medals will be awarded to the winners.
