Charleston County deputies are investigating a fatal Edisto Island crash that has killed one person this morning.
Motorists spotted the car in the water off S.C. 174 at White Point Road around 7 a.m., according to a Charleston County sheriff's news release.
One person was trapped inside the vehicle and had already died when help arrived. Emergency workers are searching the area to determine if anyone else was killed in the crash.
