- The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help regarding an unsolved homicide case. Aubrey Zanders, 39, was shot and killed on Dec. 27 of 2018. Zanders had come across people trying to break into a storage area near his home on Ashley Hall Road. He was taking out the trash when he was fatally shot. (Abccolumbia.com)
- The record-cold temperatures are having a bad effect on the Charleston Water System. So many pipes have burst across the city that the area has seen its water flow double. Gallons of spillage have poured out of torn-open pipe sections. If things continue in this way, residents may soon have to boil their water before drinking it. (Charleston Post Courier)
- Take a bite out of Charleston! This special downtown food tour will let you discover the hidden flavors of local cuisine. A city-certified guide will take you through the French Quarter and French Market. You'll get to taste traditional and contemporary dishes at four amazing restaurants. (FeverUp)
