  1. The Charleston County Coroner has identified the victim of the recent Garwood Drive shooting. Jermaine Bunch Jr, 27 years old, was shot on Wednesday afternoon in the Woodside Manor community. The Charleston County Sheriff's Office is investigating the shooting. (ABC NEWS 4)
  2. President Biden has declared a major disaster for Charleston County. The declaration allows federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts for Hurricane Ian. Federal assistance is also being made available for eligible private nonprofits on a cost-sharing basis. Click here for the full disaster declaration. (Charleston City Paper)
  3. The North Charleston Police Department responded on Friday morning to reports of a man driving a vehicle into the Ashley River. The man was reportedly driving a stolen Mercedes-Benz C Class sedan at the time of the incident. It is unknown if the driver is alive or dead as the department was unable to locate him.
