On Wednesday, September 25, 2013 the South Carolina Chapter of Parents Of Murdered Children, Inc. will hold its Annual Day of Remembrance for South Carolina Murder Victims.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department will participate and support family & friends of murdered victims as they “Speak Out” from the Steps of the State Capitol. The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a Silent March beginning at 6:00 p.m. from the State Capitol to Washington Street United Methodist Church; a brief Memorial Service for South CarolinaVictims to follow at 6:30 p.m. This event is to commemorate the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims nationwide.
The memorial service will be held at 1401 Washington Street, Columbia, SC 29201. South Carolina survivors of homicide victims, survivors of vehicular homicide victims, and other traumatic deaths as well victim assistance professionals who are in frequent contact with grieving families are encouraged to attend.
