Columbia Police Seize Gambling Machines, One Charged
Officers seized the machines, more than $2,500 and two ledgers from a residence in North Columbia on Sept. 24.
A Crimestoppers tip led to the seizure of a dozen illegal gambling machines and the arrest of one man earlier this week, according to the Columbia Police Department.
Herman Creech, 64, was arrested and charged with gambling/keeping a gaming house.
Officers seized the machines, more than $2,500 and two ledgers from a residence located at 4715 Norman Street in North Columbia on Sept. 24.

Three people who were allegedly playing the gaming machines were cited, police said.
Yvonne Dianne Roberts, 57, Phillip Nelson, 66, and Thelma Elizabeth Star, 57, were written a citation for gambling, according to Columbia Police.
