Eastover Woman Dies After Collision on Leesburg Road
A 45-year-old Eastover woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Leesburg Road Tuesday morning.
An Eastover woman has been identified as the driver killed in a Tuesday morning collision on Leesburg Road.
Sandra T. Thomas, 45, was the driver and only occupant in the vehicle that crashed around 10 a.m. on Leesburg Road near Congress Road in Lower Richland County, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said.
According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the driver was traveling in a 1997 Chevy Geo when the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and overturned several times.

Thomas was taken to Palmetto Richland where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy conducted Wednesday shows that she died from injuries she suffered in the crash, Watts said.
Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
