Report: Natural Gas Line Break Causes Evacuation in Downtown Columbia
The Columbia Fire Department, the Columbia Police Department and SCE&G are on the scene.

An area in downtown Columbia has been evacuated due to a natural gas line break, several media outlets report.
According to a report from The State, the following streets are closed: Sumter Street between Calhoun and Laurel Streets, and Richland Street between Main and Marion Streets.
The Columbia Fire Department, the Columbia Police Department and SCE&G are on the scene, according to WIS-TV.
