VIDEO: Sanford Explains February Incident on Morning Radio Show
Former governor appears on WTMA 1250 to tell his side of the story.

Former Gov. and First District Congressional Candidate Mark Sanford appeared on the Tara Servatius radio program and spent much of his time talking about the controversy regarding the contempt charges filed by his former wife Jenny in February.
The charges came to light earlier this week and made national news. Shortly after the news broke, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) withdrew its financial support of Sanford.

Sanford issued a statement after the story was publicized, saying, "there is another side to every story."
On Friday, Sanford went in to more detail about the night of the Super Bowl which led to the charges.

He noted that divorces are "more complicated than meets the eye."
He opted not to discuss Jenny Sanford's assertion that there had been previous incidents when he was on the property without permission.
Sanford also said that he never got an attorney when he and Jenny divorced in 2010.
In speaking to the media earlier this week, Jenny Sanford explained that one of her sons was upset when his father's fiancee' appeared at the Election Night celebration. Prior to that, the son had never met the fiancee'.
"It is what it is," Sanford said of Election Night.
While Sanford spoke cautiously about family matters, he had stinging criticism for the NRCC.
He told listeners to the radio show that he had made it through the primary and the run-off without the NRCC's help. He also called the group "spineless" in failing to stand up to President Obama.
Sanford faces Elizabeth Colbert Busch on May 7th for the right to represent SC1 in Washington, DC.
