5 Things to Remember to Bring to the Beach
Remember to bring these commonly-forgotten things.

With summer nearly over and school about to start, many people and families are sneaking in trips to the beach.
Here are some commonly-forgotten things you should remember to bring with you on your beach trip.
Cameras and Camera Accessories: Don't jump up to snap that great picture of your kid playing in the sand or surf, only to realize that you left the camera battery in the charger at the hotel or the memory card back at home.Moo Cream or other kind of rash creams: Let's face it, sand is fun, but sometimes it gets into places where we don't want it. It can cause rashes and skin irritation, so don't forget the cream to smooth and soothe the itching.

Deck of cards or small board games: With the record rainfalls South Carolina has been getting so far this summer, chances are at least one afternoon of your beach trip will be rained out. Bring some games to keep you and the kids entertained until the sun comes back out.
Most families come back with floorboards full of sand, because while you can shower the sand off as you leave the beach, you collect a lot more on your feet as you walk back to the car. Keep a jug of water in the trunk to clean off feet before you pile into the car.

Sunscreen and sunburn remedies. You want to find a sunscreen that suits you and that will protect you from both ultraviolet A (UVA) and ultraviolet B (UVB) rays. You also want one that will stand up to playing in the ocean or in a pool or sweating in the sun. Check out what WebMD has to say about selecting the right sunscreen for you and your family.
If you get a sunburn, make sure you've brought things to help soothe it. Use an over the counter pain reliever to ease the pain. Apply aloe vera to the burn to help soothe it. A cool bath or a cool, gentle shower will help as well.
Staying hydrated will also help your skin bounce back.
If you're going back out to the beach or pool, don't make your sunburn worse. Stay under a beach umbrella or other shady spot to protect your burned skin.
