Bluegrass Kicks Off Brooks Center Season

Concert by Rhonda Vincent and The Rage will kick off Brooks Centers' 2013-2014 season.

Kick off the Brooks Center for the Performing Arts’ 20th anniversary season with a little bluegrass courtesy of Rhonda Vincent and The Rage! Vincent and her band take the Brooks Center stage at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in the Boni Belle Brooks Series.

Vincent is a world-renowned vocalist, instrumentalist and songwriter with a storied career.

Growing up in Greentop, Mo., she is the fifth generation of a musical family. She made her debut at three years of age on local television and radio shows and since received several Grammy nominations for Best Bluegrass Album. She also claims five consecutive Entertainer of Year awards from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America, and an unprecedented seven consecutive Female Vocalist of the Year awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association.
