Clemson University will celebrate its newest graduates Friday morning. August Graduation Ceremonies will be held at 11am at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Seating for graduation is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Live footage from the ceremony will be streamed at www.clemson.edu.
Security measures at graduation prohibit backpacks and any large bags. Items allowed, but subject to search, are purses, diaper bags, seat cushions, binoculars, cameras, video cameras, cell phones, radios, Walkman-type radio/recorders and hand-held TVs. Event staff can check umbrellas and strollers at guest services inside the coliseum.

Adults attending graduation should have an official form of photo identification with them, and children should remain with an adult at all times during the event.

“Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming features the singing Sanders Family, characters who have also been featured in the hit shows “Smoke on the Mountain” and “A Sanders Family Christmas.” “Homecoming” will feature the hilarious and touching stories that Sanders Family plays are known for, as well as 25 bluegrass gospel favorites.
This show runs August 9 through 25 with Friday and Saturday performances at 8 PM and Sunday matinees at 3 PM. Advance purchase of tickets is recommended.

Barring any thunderstorms, the Easley Farmers Market will be open from 8am – noon in front of City Hall on Saturday. Come out and meet local farmers and vendors. Buy fresh fruits and veggies, homemade baked goods and treats (even treats for your four-legged friend!), hot sauces, salsas and dips, flowers and plants, handmade items and much more!

During this event, students can get registered for classes, fitted for dancewear and shoes, and receive important information about the coming year! Easley Dance Conservatory offers a dance education that focuses on the art of dance with an emphasis on the classical styles of dance. The Birchwood Center for Arts and Folklife will host their annual Book and Author Fair Sunday afternoon from 2pm – 5pm at Table Rock State Park Lodge. This is a great event that features local and regional authors reading from their works out on the porch and signing and selling their works inside the lodge.
