Actor Tom Key will open the annual Fine Arts Series Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m. with a performance of the “Cotton Patch Gospel”, a jubilant retelling of what happens when, in 1936, Jesus shows up in Georgia! This adaptation of Clarence Jordan’s “Cotton Patch” paraphrase of the New Testament will provide an authentic and fresh way of seeing the story of Christ. The event is part of Southern Wesleyan University’s annual Fine Arts Series at Newton Hobson Chapel and Fine Arts Center on the campus in Central. Admission is free. SWU Jazz and Wind Ensembles
