2. After being attacked and robbed of $20K, woman finally gets stolen money back after cops kept it in lockup for 3 years (moneywise.com) — A South Carolina woman has finally received most of $20,000 that Greenville police held for three years after it was seized from a robbery suspect. Her civil lawsuit against the city ended in a settlement check, though legal fees consumed about 40% of the money. The case highlights how hard it can be to reclaim property held by law enforcement and offers tips for others in similar situations.

3. Audacy Launches 101.1 Big Buck Country in Greenville (radio-online.com) — A new country station, 101.1 Big Buck Country, has launched on WROQ-FM in Greenville, bringing the Upstate its first new country outlet in about 40 years. Rock fans still have 93.3 The Planet, which is expanding its classic rock offerings and now features a fully local weekday lineup, including The Stoneman in afternoon drive.

4. Here are 10 best SC restaurants in December, Yelp says. No. 1 is not in Greenville or Charleston (thestate.com) — Greenville foodies will notice The Jones Oyster ranked No. 2 on Yelp’s December list of best South Carolina restaurants, just behind Myrtle Beach’s Seasons By 10/Fold. Several Charleston spots and chains with Greenville locations, like Halls Chophouse and Lewis Barbecue, also made the cut, giving locals plenty of in-state dining road-trip ideas.

5. Fugitive wanted for violent offenses in South Carolina captured in Beulaville (wcti12.com) — A woman wanted on serious charges out of Greenville County, including attempted murder, assault and child abuse, has been arrested in Beulaville, North Carolina. Local and state officers located her at a home there on December 18 and took her into custody without incident, ending an interstate search tied back to Greenville County warrants.
