The program aims to introduce young South Carolinians to Black playwrights, build confidence in public speaking, and connect emerging performers with a nationally recognized artist who credits Greenville as her creative foundation.

SC's crucial role in the Revolutionary War began with a little-known campaign 250 years ago (postandcourier.com) — A new stone marker on Historic Hopkins Farm in southern Greenville County is spotlighting the little-known Battle of the Cane Brake along the Reedy River. Local historians explain how this 1775 clash and the broader Snow Campaign helped launch South Carolina’s pivotal role in the Revolutionary War, long before famous battles like Cowpens and King’s Mountain.
