  1. In a fire on Sunday evening at the Sea Pines community, a house fire killed one person, police confirmed yesterday morning. A fire crew was dispatched to a house on Governors Road after a smoke alarm activation, and when crews entered the home, one occupant was found dead in the room where the fire started. The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident, and the identity of the deceased and the cause of the fire have not yet been released. 2. An F-35 jet, based at the Marine Corps Air Station in nearby Beaufort, has gone missing after a pilot ejected from the jet on Sunday afternoon. The Marine Corps did not specify whether the jet's transponder was on, whether it was carrying any armaments, or the reason why the pilot abandoned the aircraft. The pilot ejected safely and was transferred to a local medical center in stable condition, but the Marine Corps is still trying to locate the aircraft and is asking the public for any leads. (WJCT)
  3. The Tidal Bluff community recently sold to a private investor for $10.25 million. The real estate investment firm Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the sale of the waterfront build-to-rent community, which includes 30 units in a prime location on Hilton Head Island. No announcements have been made regarding proposed improvements or renovations to the community. (MultifamilyBiz)
