Hilton Head, Beaufort marshes backdrop for new terrorism action film (islandpacket.com) — A Hilton Head Island resident and former “Gentlemen Smuggler” is turning his past into cinema again, launching a terrorism-themed sequel that will film in the marshes between Hilton Head and Beaufort. The new movie, “One More Run,” builds on his earlier Lowcountry-set film and again uses the region’s waterways as a central character in the action.
   

2. Beaufort's balloon release ban is SC's first. Meet the Harbor Island woman behind it (islandpacket.com) — Hilton Head Island could soon face its own crackdown on ceremonial balloon releases after Beaufort became the first South Carolina city to outlaw them, with fines up to $500 and possible jail time. A Harbor Island conservationist behind Beaufort’s ban is now lobbying Hilton Head’s mayor and other local leaders, citing balloon trash found on nearby beaches and threats to sea turtles, dolphins and birds.
