• Palmetto Breeze could end weekend commuter service to HHI (wsav.com) — Weekend bus service that brings many workers onto Hilton Head Island could be cut as early as February 2026 because Palmetto Breeze Transit faces a $350,000 deficit. The agency is asking the Town of Hilton Head Island and other local governments for more funding and may start charging $1 for the currently free Breeze trolley that shuttles riders around the island.
