2 Lexington One Employees Receive Honorary Lieutenant Awards
The Lexington Police Department presented the awards to the two employees, who are both retiring this year.

Two retiring Lexington County School District One employees each received Honorary Lieutenant Awards from the Lexington Police Department at Monday's town council meeting.
Lexington Police Chief Terrence Green presented the awards to Kenneth W. Lake, director of the Lexington Technology Center, and Jim "Coach" Harpe, coordinator of the FOCUS program.
"Both Ken and Coach have dedicated their careers to providing better educational opportunities and improving the lives of children in programs outside the regular classroom," Green said. "Vocational and Alternative students and staff will certainly miss them as they retire. We are honored to make them Honorary Lieutenants of the Lexington Police Department."
