8 Die on SC Roads During Thanksgiving Holiday
One pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in Lexington County during the holiday weekend.

Eight people died in wrecks on South Carolina roads during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, which ran from 6 p.m. Wednesday to midnight Friday, according to the S.C. Department of Public Safety.
One of the people who died was a Lexington County man who was crossing the street in the 4300 block of Augusta Road when he was hit by a car.
One other pedestrian was killed during the holiday weekend, as well one bicyclist.

Five of the eight holiday deaths happened Friday through Sunday, according to the Department of Public Safety.Β
Through Sunday, 44 people have died on Lexington County roads, according to the Department of Public Safety, with a total of 744 highway deaths statewide.Β
