
WEST COLUMBIA - A memorial service for Agnes Gobble, 82, of West Columbia, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Officiating will be Ray Brown. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1461 Pisgah Church Road, Lexington, SC.
Mrs. Gobble, beloved wife of the late James Franklin Gobble, passed away on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. Born in Elba, AL, she was the daughter of the late Jack Sherman Divine and Katie Leverette Divine. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Lexington, SC. She retired after 21 years of service from Kometco. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her children, Dexter Gobble of West Columbia, Donna Johnson (Ron) of West Columbia and Sherry Slusher (Mark) of Lexington; sisters, Virginia Frazier of Clermont, FL, Carol Vileta (Dan) of Mascotte, FL and Faye McDaniel (Jerry) of Clermont, FL; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Franklin Gobble, son, Jimmie DeWayne Gobble, grandson, Daniel J. Engelking, granddaughter, Tina L. Gobble, brothers, Sherman Divine, Wayland Divine, Rayford Divine and Donald Divine; and a sister, Raynell McCann.
