CAYCE - Funeral services for John Wesley "Jake" Harper, 21, will be held at 2 p. m. on Monday, December 17, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Mr. Harper passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012. He was born on December 13, 1991 in Lexington, SC and was the son of John Wesley Harper, Sr. and Julia Adkins Harper. He was a student at Midlands Technical College and a honor graduate of Airport High School in 2010. While in high school, he was on the tennis team, Beta Club, Boys State and National Honors Society.
Mr. Harper is survived by his mother and father of Cayce; sister, Brittany (Bree) Harper; brother, Jesse James Harper; paternal grandparents, Charles and Patsy Harper of Cayce; maternal grandmother, Judy Adkins of Pine Ridge. He is predeceased by his grandfather, Joseph Adkins. He will be dearly missed by all, especially his parents, aunts, uncles, cousins and cat, Boo.
