Obituary: Ronald Wade Hastings

GILBERT - Ronald "Ron" Wade Hastings, 73, of 1377 Camping Road, died December 21, 2012, in Lexington County Hospital.

A native of Greer, son of the late William and Edna Jenkins Hastings, he was a U.S. Marine veteran, a retired employee of Hoechst Celanese, and a member of New Testament Church of Lexington.

Surviving are his wife, Frankie Harter Hastings of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Annette Hastings of Taylors, Roy and Theresa Williamson of Lexington, and Wesley and Angie Williamson of Charleston; a daughter and son-in-law, Grace and Mark Fain of Atlanta, Georgia; a brother, Mike Hastings of Lexington; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Hastings was predeceased by two brothers, Dan Hastings and Bob Hastings and a sister, Betty Kidderis.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Testament Church of Lexington. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Rev. Tom Osmer and Rev. Bobby Osmer. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 12 Β to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at The Wood Mortuary. The family is at the home.
