Obituary: Timothy Otis Pollard

Services for Timothy Otis Pollard of West Columbia will be at 5 p.m. Monday, July 30 at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Davis officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 3 to 5 p.m. before the service. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.

Born on August 8, 1961 in Atlanta, Ga., Pollard was the son of the late Albert Lee Pollard, Sr. and Betty Michaels Pollard. He was employed by Gregory Electric for 19 years and attended Trinity Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and had a lifelong love of surfing and the ocean.

Surviving are his children, Tim Hanrahan, Brittany (Richie), Kyle (Linette), Chad and Shelby (Daquan) Pollard, step-daughter, Megan Horton; grandchildren, Kyle and Colton Pollard, and Skyler Brown; siblings, Debbie Petty, Toni Greer (Glenn), Lee Pollard (Kathy), Charlene Pitman (Tommy) and Allen Pollard (Rhonda), nieces and nephews, Darren (Ashley), Chris (Jayme) and Colby Greer, Nikki Nirenberg, Sean (Ali), Dustin and Kristi Pollard and Caitlyn Muns, Devan Suttles, Brooke Jones, Ally and Anna Pollard, Ashley and Gary McAdams. Also numerous great nieces, great nephews, aunts and cousins.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the 8th floor oncology unit at Lexington Medical Center, Dr. Korapatti, Dr. Wells, and their staff as well as Palmetto Health Hospice.
